This is a unique opportunity to acquire this 1970 'Velar' Pre-Production Range Rover Classic.
One of only 26 pre-production prototypes it helped pave the way for the introduction of a completely new genre of the vehicle that changed motoring history.
YVB 165H is chassis No. 22 which was completed and registered on 03/03/1970 and allocated to the engineering department as a test vehicle for nearly three years. It was extensively restored in the late 1990s to a very high standard ready to be displayed at the Range Rover 30th Anniversary at the Gaydon Motor Heritage Centre and also in the Rotunda of the RAC Club in Pall Mall in 2012.
She was the subject of a full body-off restoration, which included galvanizing the chassis in 1997 as well as works in 2010/11. The unique thing about YVB165H is the fact that many of the original features including the original injection moulded Palomino PVC interior and door cards remain intact.
The car is presented with a substantial history file detailing the full ownership trail including copies of the original 'buff' Log Book, original bill of sale from Land Rover to Posture Research Ltd in 1974 - 1988, copies of the V5c from 1991 onwards.
Ownership of YVB 165H would guarantee VIP invites for any Land Rover/Range Rover shows as well as the likes of Goodwood Revival, and this rare car will continue to attract admirers wherever it goes.
