The Kingsley Range Rover ULEZ offers a unique proposition for city dwellers as you are sat high, with narrow pillars, the glasshouse offers incredible visibility combined with the vehicles compact size (4445mm long x 1781mm) making it over 550mm shorter and 419mm narrower than a 'full fat' Range Rover or about the same size as a Ford Focus!

This particular Kingsley K2R was built in May 2019 and is the standard specification of our ULEZ beating formula with some added comfort options specified by the original owner Mr Jones from Manchester.

Like most K2R's this car was built from a totally rust-free 2 Door Range Rover Classic (RRC) from Southern Europe. These are ideal to use as base cars as they are in such good structural condition with no corrosion.

The car was dismantled and correctly mated to a 1971 RHD chassis and engine which were totally restored. The petrol V8 engine was fully modernised and fitted with a new tank and new fuel lines The underside of the car was fully protected in clear epoxy paint and when re-assembled fibre washers were installed to slow any possibility of electrolytic corrosion.

The engine is a Kingsley 4.5 High Efficiency (HE) fuel injection which produces some 270BHP mated to an uprated ZF 4HP22 automatic gearbox and a fully rebuilt Borg Warner transfer box. This combination returns up to 25mpg on a run even when driven spiritedly!
