Range Rover For Sale

Description

A rare opportunity to purchase a very rare Range Rover Classic LSE which was produced by the Special Vehicle department and was the subject of a full Kingsley body off restoration in 2018 and is currently owned by Jamiroquai front man Jay Kay.

It was ordered from Stratstone in central London by a Panamanian company as a long wheelbase (LSE) right hand drive car with a KPH speedo. From the Special Vehicle dept. the car was fitted with a cooled rear cocktail cabinet, picnic tables and a separate rear air conditioning unit. The cocktail cabinet and picnic tables are highly prized with the cocktail unit alone selling for £5000!

The car was delivered in December 1993 but was never shipped to Panama but kept in London for 9 years until December 2004.

In December 2004 it moved to a 42,000 acre Scottish Highland Estate where it was kept until September 2010 at which point it was sold but remained in Scotland until March 2014 where it was acquired by our client.

Kingsley looked after the car from 2014 until in 2017 the owner decided to perform a body restoration on the Range Rover, the car was then stripped to a bare shell, fully restored with new inner panels with literally perfect welding, seamed sealed throughout, rubberised underneath to stop future corrosion and then the inside and outside of the shell was painted in Westminster grey.

The doors, wings, roof, bonnet and tailgates which had already been removed from the bodyshell were fully dismantled and taken back to bare metal, TIG repaired as necessary and then beautifully refinished inside and out in Westminster grey. The door frames were also taken back to bare metal repaired and refinshed in satin black.

As many new old stock parts were used during the rebuild including a set of incredibly rare NOS chocolate carpets. The interior was subtly upgraded with new seatbelts, built in garage/gate opener, Kingsley fast road suspension and a large screen, roof mounted DVD player.

The car is for sale for far less than the cost of restoration, it drives beautifully, has a 3’’ history file and would be a fantastic usable long term addition to any household.

All of our vehicles (which are not full restorations) are fully safety checked prior to delivery, have a fresh MOT test and are covered by our ‘Kingsley Warranty Promise’ which is a minimum of 3 Month parts and labour with unlimited claims to the 60% of the value of the vehicle.
