Range Rover For Sale

Description

We are delighted to offer this stunning cosmetically restored 1994 Range Rover 200TDi which has covered just over 46k miles from new, supported by a full service history.

Range Rover Classics which are not suffering from serious corrosion are becoming harder and harder to find. Even cars which look in good condition often have corrosion in the inner/outer calls, the front inner wings, the boot floor, the rear cross member, body mounting points and the rear arches.

This Range Rover has been the subject of a full body restoration and has no corrosion! We started by completely dismantling the car, removing all the doors, wings, bonnets and tailgates searching for corrosion, we then painted the disassembled car, please do not confuse our paintwork with a £1000 respray - which always has signs of overspray, dry paint areas, inclusions and orange peel! Our paintwork is as good, if not better than factory standard - look at the main gallery images to see the reflections in the bodywork and note there are no dents, no ripples or marks in the paint - it’s close to perfection. We achieve this finish by fully removing all external and internal door rubbers, rubbing strips, fixed windows, windscreen, door mirrors, door handles/gaskets, hinges, stays, bumpers, grills, spoiler, all doors, the top and bottom tailgates as well as the bonnet.

By painting a fully de-assembled car, we can reproduce a factory finish leaving a consistent paint finish overall of the car without any dry areas on the rear wheel arches, the under-bonnet areas of the wings, the decker panel or around any trims, handles etc. By painting all the doors, bonnet and tailgate off the car enables a finish to the inner areas as per the factory and because all the rubber seals and furniture have been removed there is zero chance of any overspray, resulting in a finish which is impossible to differentiate from a factory finish (other than ours is higher quality, having less orange peel than the factory paint!).

Once all the repairs and paintwork were completed we cleaned and Waxolyed all the cavities, injected every panel and the internals all the chassis sections and sills which are susceptible to corrosion with cavity wax so she will last for many years to come but we won’t Waxoyled the floor until after she has been sold so that the new owner can see that it is all original and there has been no welding.

She currently wears polished CSK alloys and chrome NAS specification bumpers but if you prefer the original look, we also have the original triple spoke wheels which have been refurbished and are also in mint condition and are shod with a good matching set (including the spare) of the correct original equipment and now discontinued 205R16 Michelin tyres as well as a set of OE black bumpers.

Even though mechanically she was in first class condition and without fault after our 160 point check, we still performed a Major Service on her, changing all fluids (refilling the engine with 15w40 semi synth), replaced all filters (Inc. the decker panel filter), the aux drive belt, flushed and refilled the cooling system with the correct OE anti-freeze, replaced the front hub seals, all wheel bearings, the front driveshaft flange gaskets, replaced the front driving lamps and headlamps and finally cleaned and re-gassed the air conditioning system which now blows ice cold.

Many Range Rovers from this period have been converted to coils (with varying degrees of success!) but this car was specified with coil springs from the factory.

She drives literally as tight as a drum and everything works exactly as you would expect.

Internally she is immaculate with no marks to the seats, door panels, dash and even the original roof lining are in close to perfect condition - all the electrics work 100% correctly.

Range Rover Classic are becoming collectable in the same way as their 2 door counterparts are and their prices for low mileage, historied cars is increasing month on month.

Inspections are actively encouraged and viewing would be my pleasure but please only by appointment near Witney in Oxfordshire. What we are offering is an immaculate car which is in a similar condition to a one or two-year-old vehicle and will, if looked after only appreciate in value.
