Range Rover For Sale

Description

Kingsley Re-Engineered 'Sleeper' Range Rover Classic with 320bhp.

We are pleased to be able to offer this Suffix Range Rover Classic 2 door which has had over £130,000 spent on it during 2020 alone.

The car was purchased by our client in France fully restored in January of 2020 and immediately sent to Kingsley for assessment as to its reliability for a driving holiday literally around the world.

The brief was to build a reliable car with classic looks, a comfortable ride and a surfeit of torque so that gearchanges could be kept to a minimum.

We delivered a Kingsley 5080cc bored and stroked V8 engine with a serpentine front allowing a large oil pump to be installed fuelled with custom made SU carburettors breathing through a specially made airbox and a high torque camshaft. The engine produces an incredible 320bhp and 360ft-lbs torques with 310ft lbs from 1080rpm! To keep everything cool, there is a custom aluminium radiator with twin 300w fans which switch automatically with a manual override option. The radiator also houses a substantial oil cooler.

To cope with this power, the whole of the chassis has been uprated with a heavy-duty driveline, strengthened front differential, Detroit Truerack LSD rear differential, Kingsley 6 Pot front and 4 pot rear braking system and Kingsley Fast Road suspension.

Internally, the whole cabin has been retrimmed, the seats in new old stock Herringbone material with custom headrests, new carpets and the interior has been fully sound deadened. We have also installed calibrated auxiliary gauges, a new zero mile KPH speedometer and a ridiculous cost had a custom reduced diameter steering wheel made which was subsequently covered in fine lams leather!

Externally, even though the car had been restored prior to its arrival at Kingsley the car underwent a panel off, bare-metal repaint in the original Bahama gold, a set of Kingsley tubeless 7J Rostyle wheels fitted with Vredestein Quatrac 5 All season tyres with capped stainless nuts.

Before the car was completed the trip was cancelled and so Kingsley purchased the car.

It must be seen and driven to be appreciated - for sale for under its build cost.
